The 61-year-old television presenter - who currently hosts her self-titled morning show for ITV - would love to do a "Lorraine: Unleashed!" special of her current programme.

Suggesting the idea, she said: "I would love to do a late-night version of my show with the same experts, such as Dr Hilary. Some of the chats we have when the adverts are on are hilarious and unbroadcastable. We’d call it 'Lorraine: Unleashed!'"

And Lorraine thinks she has been "incredibly lucky" in her television career.

She added: "I've been incredibly lucky to be cushioned from any type of 'ism', including sexism. The only difficulty I had was when I was taking a few months off after having Rosie and I was told that my breakfast TV contract wasn't going to be renewed.

"I was devastated and had to try and get a new job when she was just four months old.

"Luckily, a baby food manufacturer wanted to sponsor a twice-weekly slot, but only if I presented it. Eventually, that turned into the daily show. I felt so lucky."

Lorraine believes her "strong work ethic" is to thank for her continued success.

She told Psychologies magazine: "I admire a strong work ethic, that's what I grew up with, and kindness.

"My mum would always say, 'Do as you would be done by'.

"She would also say that we're all the same - you don't know that homeless person's story and how easy it is for any of us to become that - so be kind and treat everyone the same. That's carried me through everything I do."
