Dougie

Pre Trial - Mark & Dougie received a laminate telling them yesterday that they would both be participating in the Bushtucker trial – The Final Party, they feared an eating trial and speculated:

“You don’t reckon its eating, I would like to know, coz I don’t want it if it is” said Mark.  Dougie added: “I hope it’s not physical”.

Mark moaned: “I hope they don’t make it difficult horrible with animals and shit”.

Dougie smiled and said “I don't think anything could be harder than putting marbles in a box with boxing gloves”.

Mark thought and said “Hopefully something together, something like work as a team”.

BTT – The Final Party - Mark & Dougie yesterday faced their final Bushtucker trial ever together called ‘The Final Party’, where they would play for their last supper in the jungle.  If they completed each round successfully they would win a starter, a main course, a dessert plus a drink to swish it all down with.  At their farewell dinner party they would be served eight Bushtucker dinner courses that would be four dishes each.  Each dish they ate was worth one starter, main meal, pudding or drink. They could pass on a dish but they would lose whatever that course was worth.

When mentioned that Mark had done an eating trial already he replied: “I still haven’t gotten over it, I still feel sick”. Mark offered Dougie to go first. They both realised there was no advantage to going first or last and instead chose to do rock, paper, scissors,  Mark won going first.

The first round was for a drink of their choice the drink Mark was given was a ‘cocropoliton’ of blended cockroaches.  Mark got it down but not without retching and uttered: “Urgh horrendous”. Dougie was then put to the test and given a ‘bloody scary’ of blended emu liver.  Dougie gulped down the drink matching Mark and won two drinks for their supper. Dougie replied: “It wasn’t that bad it tasted like blood and liver yeah”.

Dougie bit into the head to which Mark asked “Is it lovely mate?” Dougie succeeded but not before almost throwing up adding “That was shocking”

In the next round they played for their starters - out came the next dish and Mark was presented with ‘beachworm bruschetta’ two beachworms.  Mark picked up the worms and ate them looking rather ill as he made noises “I can’t get it down”.  He retched but finally managed to get the worms down.  Mark admitted: “That was worse than the drink”.  Dougie then lifted the lid on his meal ‘sushi degrotto’ - traditional I’m A Celebrity witchetty grub fare.  Dougie bit into the head to which Mark asked “Is it lovely mate?” Dougie succeeded but not before almost throwing up adding “That was shocking”.  The boys were happy they had won starters for their last night.

Next the boys faced the main course and Mark was given ‘cricket crudité’ a king cricket served with vomit fruit dipping sauce.  Mark had to dip it into the sauce and eat the body.  Mark said: “That absolutely stinks”  but managed to get the critter down by imagining it was Peking duck and humming to himself.  Mark wretched and Dougie joined him “Come on mate you’re making me do it”. Mark added: “That was horrific it tasted like…sick”. It was Dougie’s turn next ‘dim bum’ to which Dougie laughed at the anus of an ostrich. Mark supported Dougie and told him: “It’s just a bit of meat, eat it like it is a bit of meat sitting here like we are having a Chinese meal”. Dougie got the bum down and they both won main meals.

In the next round the boys playing for their pudding and Mark was given ‘fish eyed oysters’.  Dougie chanted: “Go on mate go on”.  Mark then wolfed down the fish eye “Oh it has got a bone in it” to which Dec told him that was the bit he had to get down, the optic nerve.  Mark then covered his ears and Dougie told him: “Back to the Chinese restaurant”.  Mark succeeded after talking to himself and telling himself “Good boy…just down the hole…..yessss…actually it wasn’t that bad”.  Dougie next to win his dessert was given ‘cock tail sausages’ a bush pig penis chopped into sections but they only section he had to eat was the one with the flag on it.  Dougie struggled to get the penis down but with Mark’s encouragement he won dessert for their final night in camp. Dougie cried: “Penis tastes so bad!”

The boys had a drink of water proud they would eat that night. Mark admitted the worst was the fish eye and Dougie still gagging: “The knob…the penis by far the worst”.  When asked what it was like to be the final two and if they were nervous doing the trial yesterday Mark said: “We had been feeling weird all morning cause we never expected to be here it is quite surreal for us it feels like a big dream really”.

Mark and Dougie return from their bush tucker trial not feeling very well and realised how quiet it was without their fellow camp mates:

Post Trial - Mark and Dougie returned from their trial and Mark said “Me and you are like two lost boys in a jungle”.

Mark then let out a massive belch! He then sang: “It’s all so quiet shh shh...!”.

Mark told Dougie: “We actually unfortunately have to do a couple of jobs”.

The boys then got back to business as usual and relit the camp fire and collected logs. After a little while Dougie ran to the toilet.

Mark yelled out to Dougie: “Are you being sick?”

Dougie finished being sick and said “yeah”.

Dougie asked: “Mark can you bring up some toilet paper I puked over the toilet, can you bring some paper? “

Mark didn’t hear Dougie so asked, “You want me to bring some paper”.

Dougie said “Yeah i puked on the seat “
