Dani Harmer

Dani Harmer

She has been targeted by internet trolls over her weight since starring in Strictly Come Dancing.

Tracy Beaker actress Dani Harmer has admitted she gets upset when people say she looks fat on TV.

Even though she is in reality a slim size 6, Dani, like many stars, needs a little extra to get rid of those stubborn areas of fat that just won't budge - even when she is training hard virtually every day on the gruelling dance show.

For that reason the 23-year-old actress took a break from her busy Strictly schedule to have some non-invasive liposuction on her tummy at top Harley Street clinic LoveLite.

Despite weeks of training with dance partner Vincent Simone, she still had a small parcel of flabby skin around her belly which wouldn't budge.

Keen to look her best on TV, Dani chose a revolutionary new treatment called Lipoglaze.

Lipoglaze removes stubborn areas like muffin tops, flabby tummies and bingo wings by freezing fat cells.

It is a new technique which has already worked wonders on several celebrities' bodies including Lizzie Cundy, 42, who was so pleased with the results that she happily posed naked shortly afterwards.

Dani said: "I'm very fit and healthy and have a great diet, but there was a small area around my tummy which wouldn't shift.

"Like everyone on Strictly I want to look good and I loved using Lipoglaze."

Dani has spoken about the pressure felt by female stars who come under fire on forums like Twitter over their weight.

She said: "It does upset me. Everyone looks bigger than they are on telly.

"But I'm a size six so it's a bit funny when people turn around and say, 'You're fat.'

"I'm less than the size of an average woman."

Dani added: "It's ridiculous to say these things but it's only little girls who don't know what they are talking about.

"And I guess it is because magazines put so much pressure on girls by circling people's cellulite and stuff like that.

"We have all got cellulite and it is a totally normal thing."

Dani, who has been in showbusiness since she was six and has starred in kids' show Tracey Beaker for the last ten years, is hoping Strictly will help her to move on to more adult roles.

The only man in her life currently is her dance partner Vincent after she split with her boyfriend, TV assistant director Graeme Livingstone.

She said: "It is a brilliant way of shifting those stubborn areas of fat."

Lunch-time liposuction is becoming increasingly popular with celebrities of both sexes who want a quick beauty fix  - and don't want to go under the knife.

Lipoglaze is a revolutionary non-surgical fat reduction treatment which literally kills off fat cells in one 60-minute session.

The brand new treatment is available in the UK for the first time and has been launched by leading beauty spa treatments company LoveLite.

The Lipoglaze cyrogenic machine works by first gently heating and then rapidly cooling the target area. This causes the fat cells to crystallise and permanently destroys up to a third of fatty deposits per session. The body then naturally eliminates this waste tissue over the next few weeks.

The machines are being sold by LoveLite to salons and spas throughout the UK, Europe, the Middle East and America.

Debra Robson-Lawrence, co-founder of LoveLite with Donnamarie McBride, said:  “We loved working with Dani.

"This just shows even super-fit dancers need a little extra help with those stubborn areas."
