World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) has announced today at the Cheltenham Science Festival that it will release the most comprehensive report into cancer and its links with food, nutrition and physical activity on November 1.

The report has been put together by 21 leading international experts in field such as nutrition, cancer biology and public health. Over the last 5 years, nine independent teams of scientists from universities and research centres here in the UK and in America adn Europe have searched through and thousands of published articles to find if there is a link between nutrition, exercise and developing cancer.

The 21 scientists are now finalising recommendations that people can incorporate into their daily live to help fight and reduce the risk of cancer.

Dr Martin said: "This is really exciting for the science community because it will deepen our understanding of the link between lifestyle and cancer by putting all the published research into a proper context."

The report which is entitled Food, Nutrition, Physical Activity and the Prevention of Cancer: A Global Perspective will be launched around the world on November 1 with events in London, Washington, Hong Kong and Beijing.
